Beatle Babes

The Beatles were undoubtedly one of the most influential bands of all time. Here are some of the women they loved and inspired them.

Cynthia Powell
In 1957 she was accepted into the Liverpool College of Art, where she took a calligraphy class. In that class was a young man named John Lennon.
They started dating and got married in 1962 when Cynthia found out she was pregnant.

Their son Julian Lennon was born on April 8, 1963.
They divorced in 1968 after Lennon started his relationship with Yoko Ono. Paul McCartney wrote the song    "Hey Jude" for their son Julian while visiting Cynthia during the divorce.

Jane Asher
Jane Asher interviewed the Beatles in 1963, where she met Paul McCartney

They began dating and dated until 1968, becoming engaged in 1967.
McCartney wrote the songs "All My Loving", "And I Love Her", "I'm Looking Through You", "You Won't See Me", "We Can Work It Out","Here, There, And Everywhere" and "For No One" about Asher.

Maureen Cox
Maureen Cox met the new drummer of the Beatles, Ringo Starr, in 1962 at the Cavern Club when she was only 16. They began dating, but it wasn't always fun for her. Fans often vying for the attention of the Beatles would chase after her and scratch at her face and clothes.
They got married in 1965, Their son Zak was born the same year. They had two other children, Jason in 1967, and Lee in 1970.

Pattie Boyd
Pattie Boyd met George Harrison on the set of Help! where she played one of the school girls on train, with one line in the movie "Criminals?"

He wrote the song "Something" about her.

Yoko Ono
Yoko Ono first met John Lennon in 1966 at one of her art exhibits. They began having a secret relationship, Lennon still being married to his first wife. They got married in 1969.
Yoko never left John's side, sitting in on The Beatles recording sessions, and collaborating with John on six albums through out their marriage. She also was his partner in their quest to support peace. Organizing the famous 'Bed In' and singing along with him in the song "Give Peace a Chance"

In 1973 the couple separated and John began his "Lost Weekend"which lasted 18 months. But in 1975 the couple got back together. That same year they had their son Sean Lennon on October 8th, the same as John.

Ono was with John until the day he died, being with him when he was shot. She funded the construction and maintenance of the Strawberry Fields memorial in New York's Central Park. In 2007 Ono dedicated a new memorial called the Image Peace Tower on the island of Viday. It consists of a tall "tower of light", projected from a white stone monument that has the words "Imagine Peace" carved into it in 24 languages. The tower of light beams every year from October 9, Johns birthday, to December 8, the day of John's Death.
John referenced Ono in many of his songs, such as "The Ballad of Yoko Ono" and in the song "Julia" in the line 'Ocean child calls me, so i sing a song of love'. Yoko meaning ocean child in Japanese.

They got married on April 27, 1981, a few weeks after the release of the movie.
Since marrying Starr, Bach has put her acting career aside to focus on her marriage and family, with her and Ringo making a vow to never leave each others sights.

They are still together today.

    1. George said that the original words were "Something in the way He moves, attracts me like no other lover" with reference to Lord Krishna, but that people would think he was a poof / gay person if he had used the masculine pronoun.
